MEET THE SQUAD INTERVIEW

We’re back with our “Meet the Squad” interview and this is an interesting one for any potential 3D artists out there wanting to get into the games industry! Meet Stef…

Name: Stef Bow
Role: 3D Artist
Team supported: Green Bay Packers

1. What is your role at Sports Interactive and what does it involve day-to-day?
I am one of the 3D Artists. I work on the stadiums, props and textures you see in the game – from creating them and texturing them to getting them in to the game and set up ready to go. Closer to game release it’s more fixing any problems that come up with the 3D stuff in the game.

2. What’s the best thing about working at Sports Interactive?
Easy: the people I work with and having a job I love.

3. If you could give one piece of advice to someone looking to work in a role similar to yours, what would it be?
Work hard and build a good portfolio – make sure you include hi-poly and low-poly work if you want to work in games.

4. What are your interests and past times outside of work?
Playing games (computer games, board games, LARPing), drawing, reading, cycling, running, learning Spanish and travelling. I love American Football (Green Bay Packers all the way) and I have a border-line obsessive interest in Vikings

5. What’s the best game tip you can give to someone to do better on Football Manager?
I’ve recently learnt that getting the player roles right is important!
